Our Services:
Westcoast Family Resources Society is a registered charity offering a range of parenting and family strengthening programs to families throughout the Lower Mainland, since 1984. We are accredited with the Council on Accreditation. http://www.coanet.org
Parents we work with may be dealing with a variety of issues that may make parenting more challenging.
All our programs are client-focused and strength-based. Our highly trained and dedicated staff work with a diverse client group. We individualize services to meet client needs. We have multi-lingual workers, flexible hours and work with families in a variety of ways, including:
- One-to-one teaching and support.
- Clinical counselling and play therapy.
- Supervised visitation between parents and their children in foster care.
- Education and support groups.
Most of our referrals are from the Ministry of Children and Family Development. We are funded by MCFD, United Way, foundations, Direct Access grants and the generosity of private and corporate donors.
