Parenting After Separation (PAS)

The task of continuing to parent through the legal. emotional, social anfd financial turmoil of the separation process can be very difficult. Westcoast Family Resources Society is offering a series of Workshops in the Vancouver and North Vancouver areas to assist families through this process. The goals of these Workshops are to reduce the stress of the process for families and to assist them in moving forward in their lives. Some of the topics include the following:

• The court process, the mediation process, and the role of the Family Justice Counsellor.
• The child and parent's experiences of the separation process.
• Strategies to help yourself and your child through this process.
• Identify when and how to seek professional help for your child or yourself.
• Effective ways to communicate and problem-solve in order to build a positive co-parenting relationship.
