Family Resource Programs: Free drop-in services

Are you looking for relationship-building and family bonding activities with your child? Centres and resource programs provide play-based learning, early learning and literacy, parent education, information and referrals.

  • Gain access to additional support from professionals and peers

  • Receive referrals to helpful community resources

Family Navigation and Outreach Program

Are you looking for extra one-on-one emotional support, system navigation or information towards community connections and resources? A Family Navigator is available to support your family’s journey in many ways! Contact for more information.

Family Navigators are here to help with One-to-One Navigation by:

  • Email

  • Phone (call or text)

  • In-person home visits or community meet-ups

Parent ambassador program

Are you a parent new to Canada? Would you like to learn more about raising healthy children in their new cultural environment? Become a Parent Ambassador and attend universal programs to build your capacity and resilience to help their children develop in a healthy way.

How to become a Parent Ambassador:

  • Training is offered twice a year in April and October. Training is available to parents/caregivers who have demonstrated strong leadership in their community.

  • Each training requires participants attend 7 sessions (2 hours each) and 14 practicum sessions within a 4-month period

Parent education and support groups

Are you looking for new opportunities to engage with your children and manage reoccurring parenting challenges?

Connect with other parents and learn about early childhood development while gaining peer-to-peer support!
